York Lake is a smaller (92 acre) non motorboat lake outside of Barryville. York is almost exclusive to York Lake Estates, a gated community built in the early 90's All parcels are at least five acres, making even lakefront homes here relatively secluded.

There is no clubhouse or swimming pool. The lake is the only attraction in this community. There are two beaches for lake access for owners off the lake. There is always a selection of land lots available in this community both lake front and non, if you are thinking about building.

The lake is a nice clear mountain lake, perfect for small sail or row boats, and the gated seclusion and quiet roads make this a nice spot for second home families with children. Off lake homes are in the 200K range and up, and lakefronts are from 400K and up.
